Crude Encore/Complex Hollywood Closing

WINNER of the Hollywood Encore Producers’ Award, Crude will be coming back for another three shows this August 19, 20, and 21 with 8pm shows all back at the Hollywood Complex in the Flight Theatre.

It may be one of the last shows ever at the Complex as there has been talks of shutting it down at the end of the calendar year.

On a personal note: The Complex is beautiful location right in the heart of Hollywood. It is a hub that serves as a space for small theatre and big risks. So many have cut their teeth in the plethora of theaters inside. I can’t be more grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the building’s history of brave art told truly for the purpose of a love for the craft. LA theatre has always felt scarce and hard to find. Locations like this were built to foster a community and foundation for all those looking to find room (and a room) to work on their craft as storytellers. This place and show here have allowed me to do just that. I will always remember my time waiting in the library scanning all over the shelves at all of the useful tools and books at my disposal, the friendly staff at the box office letting me come in early to warm up, and the beautiful black box theatre that was the Flight where we told a story and practiced what we love. I implore those who have ever been to a theatre at the Complex to write a letter about your experience and admiration to the landlord of the property.
